10 Great Pick Up Lines Used In Movies

Whether it is the line that ultimately gets the girl or just an opening line for a conversation starter, there are a plethora of pick up lines out there for guys to use. Some are bad, some are good and some are ugly. Hopefully, you can get some of the best pick up lines to use on your love interest and potential girlfriend.

A great way to get some ideas for pick up lines are from Hollywood. You have probably seen a lot of movies and wondered, “How do these guys get the girls”? Well, first of all, it is just a movie. But, some of these lines can actually work in real life and we have found some of the best pick up lines from Hollywood films that you can use in real life.

Because not every woman or man is the same, there are quite a variety of pick up lines listed here. Some are funny, some are serious, and some are hopelessly romantic. That’s what makes it such a great list. After all, you’ve got to be ready for all circumstances, right?

10. “Your husband told me you were the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen, but he didn’t say anything about the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen.” -George Clooney to Catherine Zeta-Jones, Intolerable Cruelty, 2003.

A very complimentary line. Women love compliments. As Chris Rock says, “Women need food, water, and compliments.” If you can compliment a woman’s beauty, no matter how you do it, you are one step ahead of where you were in the first place. This line was very sexy and it should work in a very sexy way for you too.

9. “Your eyes are amazing, do you know that? You should never shut them, not even at night.” -Oliver Martinez to Dianne Lane, Unfaithful, 2002

What a very romantic and taboo type of movie. Dianne Lane cheats on her husband with Oliver Martinez. This is not the message that we’re trying to portray here but that sort of taboo relationship comes off as very sexy during this movie and many women find Oliver Martinez extremely sexy. The point is to make the woman feel like she has never felt with any other man before. This makes you one of a kind and women love one of a kind.

8. “Are you a Bewitched man, or a Jeannie man?”
“Bewitched, all the way, though I always dug how Jeannie always called Larry Hagman ‘master.’”
-Uma Thurman and John Travolta, Pulp Fiction, 1995)

Pulp Fiction is such a classic movie. The sexual tension between Uman Thurman and John Travolta is electrifying. This line gives the woman the sense that the man is dominant which can be super sexy. Come off as the dominant type of male and you can score a relationship with the type of women that can’t wait to rock your world.

7. “Wanna play a game? You can be Little Red Riding Hood and I’ll be the Big Bad Wolf.” Jacob from Twilight

This is a fairly new movie but a great line nonetheless. Giving the thought of role play is very sexy. And, not to mention, look at how many girls there are that think Jacob is sexy. If you can pull this one out they may find you just as irresistible.

6. “I hate to see you go, but I love to watch you leave.” John Travolta to Joan Allen, Face/Off, 1997

This line is to the point, very complimentary and can be used on a woman you just met, are casually seeing or have been dating for years. Again, women love compliments, particularly about their physique. Like most lines, this one will not necessarily work on all women so be careful about who your audience is. You want to end up with a date, not a slap in the face.

5. “I really wish that you’d come home with me. You’re so cute and I’m really good in bed, believe me. You smell good, too.” Nicholas Cage to Valeria Golino, Leaving Las Vegas, 1995

Leaving Las Vegas is an incredibly sexy and fantasy-like love story. A lot girls longed to be the girl in the movie and a lot of guys longed to the guy in the movie. It is a very sexually direct line and some women need just that, for you to be direct and sexual. Oh, and good in bed.

4. “We live in a cynical world. A cynical world. And we work in a business of tough competitors. I love you. You… Complete me.” Tom Cruise to Renee Zellweger, Jerry Maguire, 1996

Nearly everybody has heard this line and some would argue that it is quite possibly one of the most cheesy pick up lines but, it got the girl didn’t it? That is what your aim is. To get the girl. And even more importantly, when the relationship has that much emotional tension on it girls love the cheesy lines. Don’t use a line like this unless you mean it.

#3. “Do you wash your pants in Windex? Because I can see myself in them.” Austin Powers

Silly, yes. Does it work? Maybe. Some women are attracted to the funny guy and this line definitely will fit into that category. Austin Powers was ridiculous all around but you never know what will get the girl. It is your job to figure out if she is an Austin Powers kind of girl or a Notebookkind of girl.

2. Hitch: “Now, on the one hand, it is very difficult for a man to even speak to someone who looks like you. But, on the other hand, should that be your problem?”
Sara: “So life’s kind of hard all around.”
Hitch: “Not if you pay attention. I mean, you’re sending all the right signals – no earrings, heels under two inches, your hair is pulled back, you’re wearing reading glasses with no book, drinking a Grey Goose martini, which means you had a hell of a week and a beer just wouldn’t do it. And if that wasn’t clear enough, there’s always the “fuck off” sign that you have stamped on your forehead.”

Hitch was an expert on relationships and dating in this movie. This is by far one of the best pick up lines on so many levels. He approached a strong, independent, and intimidating woman and approached her in a way to make her feel vulnerable. He approached her as if he had her all figured out from the start. If you can approach a strong, independent, and intimidating woman and make her feel like you know exactly what she is all about, you are already one step ahead. Women like this tend to prefer to be secret and not reveal too much to anyone. If you are the man that can do that then your chances are real good at dating her.

1. ”I want all of you. Forever. Every day.” – Ryan Gosling to Rachel McAdams, The Notebook,

Ok, this might not be a top pick for a man but you must understand that every woman watches this movie and the love within the movie absolutely makes them melt. If you can show a woman that you understand, or at least pretend to, this kind of love then you will definitely have your foot in the door with your girl.

Hope you enjoyed this,

I always thought the line Steve Martin used in the frozen food dept. “My Blue Heaven” was a great pickup line…
You know, it’s dangerous for you to be here in the frozen food section…. Why is that?… Because you could melt all this stuff.

  3. I find that the cheesiest possible line is great, especially if it makes her smile. Did you see the guy I traded socks with? He has one of my shoes!
    Confusion, makes her ask questions.
